Twenty years and 34 albums into her career, Celine Dion is still going strong despite her impoverished childhood. Born the youngest in a large family just outside Quebec, Canada, Celine Dion was discovered and rose to fame with the help of her manager and future husband René Angélil. Celine Dion’s popularity grew as she toured across Canada, winning multiple awards and impressing legions of fans along the way.
In 1990, Celine Dion released her first English-language album Unison, which spawned the breakthrough hit single “Where Does My Heart Beat Now?” After Celine Dion recorded the hit song from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, the song “Beauty and the Beast” climbed to No. 1 and won Celine Dion her first Grammy award. “Beauty and the Beast” was only the first in a long line of successful collaborations as Celine Dion would go on to work with famed vocalist Josh Groban and Italian super group Il Divo.
The success of “Beauty and the Beast” paved the way for Celine Dion’s second album, the eponymous Celine Dion, which scored Celine four more hits: “Love Can Move Mountains,” “If You Asked Me To,” “Did You Give Enough Love,” and “Water From the Moon.” Celine Dion’s third album The Colour of Love spawned the ultimate power ballad and No. 1 hit “The Power Of Love.” Celine Dion’s success grew exponentially when she performed “My Heart Will Go On” for the blockbuster film Titanic in the ‘90s.
Since finishing a three-year contract for her headlining Las Vegas show “A New Day,” Celine Dion has released her latest album Taking Chances, which features Celine Dion’s new direction – one of passion, power, and rock edge. As the Canadian chanteuse and international superstar belts out Heart’s “Alone” along with soulful “Taking Chances,” “Can’t Fight the Feelin’,” and “Fade Away,” be sure you order your Celine Dion tickets from OnlineTickets.com today!
