Mike Eli and James Young initially came together to make an acoustic jam band during their college years but quickly found that building a full band would give them a great audience. After taking on a few more members, the group became known as the Eli Young Band. The Eli Young Band eventually landed an independent record deal and released album Level. The album would feature the Eli Young Band’s signature song “When It Rains”. Through small club tours and national tours with Miranda Lambert, Pat Green, Robert Earl Keen, and Jack Ingram, the Eli Young Band has made its name through live music.
