Ready and raring for the start of a new season with new coaches in both basketball and football in 2008-09, the University of Arkansas has a total of 16 varsity sports which include football, baseball, volleyball, swimming, soccer, gymnastics, men and women’s basketball, cross country, golf, tennis and track and field. With the growing fan base in both basketball and football, the Razorbacks have recently renovated their stadiums.
Arkansas Razorbacks football is all geared up to fly this season with their new coach, former Atlanta Falcons head coach, Bobby Petrino. After making their way to the 2008 AT&T Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas last season, the Razorbacks are trying to make their way back to another Championship Game for the upcoming season. With a National Championship and 13 Conference Championships under their belt, the Razorbacks take the field in the Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
Arkansas Razorbacks basketball is back to defend their No.2 rank in the Southeastern Conference this season on the road and at home inside the Bud Walton Arena! With a rich history of an NCAA Tournament Championships and four NCAA Final Fours, the Arkansas Razorbacks team is truly a force to be reckoned with. Teaming up with new coach John Pelphrey, the Razorbacks were able to play in the 2008 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament.
