UAB Blazers Tickets

The UAB Blazers are blazing a trail to victory once again for the 2008-09 season! The Blazers have something for every sports fan with teams competing in a wide array of sports including men’s baseball, golf, soccer and tennis and women’s softball, soccer, cross country, volleyball and more! The men’s basketball and football teams are setting the standards of excellence for UAB Blazers sports.

The young UAB football team is returning from a disappointing 2-10 2008 showing with 11 new junior college players and 19 returning starters. Coach Neil Calloway is excited about his team’s progress. The program only began in the 1990s and already the Blazers are making strides on the field and in drawing crowds to Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama. The UAB Blazers hope that better depth and more experience will be enough to bring the team to NCAA eminence.

The UAB Blazers’ 29-year-old basketball program has already enjoyed 26 winning seasons. 2007-08 saw the Blazers bounce back from a disappointing showing in 2006-07 to streak to a 23-11 record. Head coach Mike Davis has the pieces in place to lead his Blazers to another successful season. In front of a home crowd at Bartow Arena where fans have watched their UAB Blazers win over 80 percent of their games, the Blazers are sure to impress again in 2008-09!
