Rajon Rondo: College Years
After an impressive high school basketball season, Rajon Rondo headed back to his home state to attend University of Kentucky. Rajon Rondo was able to lead the Kentucky Wildcats a myriad of victories, including big wins against instate rival Louisville, South Carolina, and Central Florida. During his freshman year, Rajon Rondo made Kentucky Wildcats history by tallying 87 steals – a single-season Kentucky Wildcats record – and earned SEC All-Freshman team honors to boot. In his sophomore season, Rajon Rondo continued to make Wildcats history by grabbing 19 rebounds in a single game.

Rajon Rondo: Entering the NBA Draft
After the 2005-06 NCAA basketball season, Rajon Rondo decided to forgo his junior and senior years with the Kentucky Wildcats. As the quickest guard in the 2006 NBA draft, Rajon Rondo turned a lot of heads as teams salivated at Rajon Rondo’s knack for steals and ability to rebound. The Phoenix Suns drafted Rajon Rondo with the 21st pick before dealing Rajon Rondo to the Boston Celtics that same day.
